LONDON WOOL SALES.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, Wellington, have received the follow wing cable message from their London House, dated the 12th instant:—"Wool sales opened with a fair selection. There is a large attendance of buyers, and competition is animated. Clips offered so far are mostly crossbreds. Merino wools, prices are on the average at par to a halfpenny higher than closing rates of January series. Fine crossbred wools, prices are on a par with last series closing rates. Medium and coarse crossbred wools, prices are at par to 5 per cent, higher. Received March 13, 9.57 p.m. LONDON, Marh 13. The wool sales have opened. Twelve thousand six hundred and twenty-three bales were catalogued. There was a capital selection of crossbreds:® Tnere was a large attendance of buyers, all sections competing freely for everything. Prices were very firm. The coarsest crossbreds and Stylish , parcels of other grades advanced 5 per cent. There was strong competition in merinos, at from par to 5 per cent, advance.
