MADRID, March 12. ' At the Spanish elections the Conservatives triumphed. (The Religious Associations Bill which gave offence to the Vatican was the work of the Liberals. The Conservative • victory apparently means compliance with the Vatican attitude. On March 3rd King Alfonso gave way on the point of riages, abrogating the decree of August last, which authorised civil marriages without the contracting parties being required to make a declaration of their religion).
