A NEW TORPEDO.

Received March 12, 8.21 a.m. TOKIO, March 11. Japan has constructed a torpedo which is fired by wireless telegraphy. (Japanese electricians, apparently, have been first in practically solving a problem which has engaged the attention of military authorities and men of science ever since "wireless" telegraphy came into use. The results may be expected to be revolutionary. Torpedoes and mines will be simplified in' structure, and will be managed with a mkimum of apparatus, and harbour and coast defence will become more efficient.)
