Cowlam, in making the presentation, spoke in eulogistic terms of Mr Bell's sterling qualities. Messrs W. H. Toohill and F. Dunstone also spoke in a similar strain. _ & movement is on foot to try and arrange for the local corps of the Mounted Rifles to go into camp at Easter at Foxton. The weather here for the last few weeks has been dry and fine. Settlers :say this has been one of the, finest seasons experienced here for years. The local A.O.D. Lodge are arranging to hold a social in the Public Hall on March 14th. The catering will be in the capable hands of Mr Robt. McGarry.
