THE WRECK OF THE DAKOTA.
Received March 8, 7.39 a.m. NEW YORK, March 7. The twenty thousand ton steamer Dakota, which ran ashore outside Tokio harbour, overran a ledge. Her forepart is submerged. . Eighty guineas is being charged for re-insurance, to be paid in the event of the vessel becoming a total loss. Received March 8, 9.50 p.m. NEW YORK, March 8. ~ It is considered impossible to float the Dakota.
