The Constantinople correspondent of The Times reports that an AngloFrench syndicate, consisting of the Bank of England and the Ottoman Bank and its group, have bought the majority of the Constantinople Quays Company's shares. The company was heretofore exclusively French, being organised under the aegis of Britain and. France. The Daily Mail correspondent interviewed the Sultan of Turkey, who declared that he sincerely desires the strengthening of the old bonds of friendship between Britain and Turkey.
