*THE BOOTH CUP,

The competition for the Booth Cup was advanced another stage, yesterday afternoon, when four rinks from the Carterton Club met four rinks from the Masterton Club, at Masterton. The games proved very interesting. Masterton won by 101 points to 68 points. Mesdames Wagg and Yates provided afternoon tea for the players. The scores were as follow: -W. Booth, Phillpots, Bish (skip), Carterton, 13. Richards, Mutrie,. O. Pragnell, Whitfcaker, (skip), Masterton, 27, beat Pepper, Churchwood, Whyte, Ramsay (skip), Carterton, 16. F. Lindop, W. J. Lindop, Masson, Fishev (skip), Carterton, 24, beat Carpenter, Gordon, Scott, Ewington (skip), Masterton, 14. The games .played between the "colts" of both Clubs resulted as follows:—Long, Daniell, Thompson, Rose (skip), Masterton, 25, beat Moore, Canton, Roydhouse, Lightfoot (skip), Carterton, 10.
