FOOTBALL.

The annual meeting of the Red Star Football Club will be held in the Occidental Hotel on Saturday evening next at 8 o'clock. The Red Stars promise to have a strong team this year, several new players having joined their ranks. A meeting was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms, last evening, when it was decided to form a Mr A. E. Rees presided, and there was a large attendance. Twenty-two names were handed in as active members of the club. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr P. L. Hollings; Vice-Presidents, Messrs H. H. Beetham, A. Henderson, A. C. Major, A. W. Hogg, M.H.R., J. T. Fowler, and Professor Williams; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr W. Hardin >■. It was decided that the club's colours should be black and gold. The first practice will be held ont the Showground on Thursday nesxt at 2.30 p.m.
