SHIPS SUBSIDY BILL.

Received March 3, 4.44 p.m. NEW YORK, March 2.

The American House of Representatives, by 134 votes to 100 omitted from the Ship Subsidy Bill clauses relating to fast services to the Orient, and also rejected a line from the Pacific Coast to Australasia. The whole Bill was rejected by 161 votes to 54, but on reconsideration it was adopted by 162 votes to 150 in an amended form.
