The Interstate Trades Congress is sitting in camera. Mr Beaston, the New Zealand delegate, has been elected a vice-chairman. It was resolved that, while urging the various States to relax no effort in furthering industrial legislation, an amendment to the Federal Constitution is desirable which will give the Federal Parliament authority to legislate on such industrial matters.
