MAURICEVILLE.

(From Our Own Correspondent).

The East Mauricevilie School held their annual picnic on Friday. A most enjoyable day was passed by the children and their friends, who kept up their merriment till 9 p.m. After the children had retired, weary of sports, but happy, an impromptu ball on the green and by moonlight, was organised. Your correspondent was informed that the function was the most successful ever held here. The excellent conduct of the children was worthy of commendation. The local store, having been reopened under the management of the West Mauriceville Co operative Company, bids fair to do an excellent business under its energetic representative, Mr Weston.
