MR STEYN'S WARNING. Received Last' Night, 10.7 o'clock. CAPETOWN, February 27. , Mr Steyn, in an open letter to the peop'e, said he had resolved not to seek election. He warned the colony against pitting race against race. The new diamond fields had introduced capitalism. The people must fight unscrupulous capitalists who may endeavour to sscure administration. He was thankful for the existence of the mines, but he feared the advent of trusts. Received Last Night, 11.11 o'clock. PRETORIA, February 27. The Het Vlok Nationalists have protested against the nominations for the Upper House on the ground that they were at variance with the majority of the electorate, and likely to lead to friction in the working of the Constitution.
