(From Our Own Correspondent). TINUI, Febuary 25. A cricket match was played at Car swelis. last Saturday, bet ween Carswell? and Tinui. The match was played in a paddock kir.dly lent for the occasion by Mr W. Liverton, the pitch being put in evcalienl; order by Mr J. Greenbank. The visitors won by an innings and 26 runs. Smart fielding, on both sides was a feature of a very pleasant afternoon's play. Mrs Greenbank, in her usual generous manner, supplied afternoon tea, a kindness that was much appreciated. Neither side had a full team. Tuesday. Quite a chapter of accidents has happened here within the past few days, none of them, however, of a serious nature. While riding home from school, last week, a son of Mr J. McCleay, Mangapakeha, was thrown from his horse and was ■dragged kicked about the head and body while' being dragged along the road. Dr. Dawson had to put in several stitches. A young daughter ofjjMr and Mrs G. Street, Langdale, fell frorh her horse and had her collarbone broken. A mishap also befel a daughter of Mr and Mrs Tuckett, her cbllarbone also being broken, while a-daughter of Mr Collerton was thrown from her horse and dislocated her shoulder. Dr. Dawson attended aM the sufferers, who are doing as well as can be expected.
