BIDEFORD.
(From Our Own Correspondent), Thursday. A alrge number of men are at present engaged at grass-sowing on Mr C. A. Cameron's Spring Hill Estate. This district has suffered a loss in the removal of Chief Stock Inspector Jenkinson, who was well known and esteemed by farmers throughout the Wairarapa, to Nelson. Stock Inspec- ' tor Wayne, who has taken district, is well known and respected by agriculturists. A movement is on foot to hold a . sports meeting in conjunction with the Bideford School picnic, and already about £6 and several trophies have been promised.
