EXHIBITION RIFLE MEETING.

CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Shooting opened at 7 o'clock with the continuation of the 200 yds Westland Match, but as there were only four targets available shooting was very slow. The weather was magnificent, but the shooting was not firstclass, and there were very few good scores. The 500 yds Canterbury Match, a portion of which had been fired on the previous day, was continued at 8 o'clock, and fired simultaneously with the Westland Match. Fine weather told on the shooting here, and the Association had to pay on eight possibles, viz.—Higgins, Timaru; James, Napier; Mould, Duvauchelie; Cameron, Opaki; P.; Jack, Christchurch; Ray, Bannockburn; Thorpe, Wairoa. The following is the prize list in the Westland Match, 200 yds and 600yds:~Smith, Kaitangata, 91; Chapman, Tekaka, 90; Bulford, Karori,. 88; McCartney, Riversdale, 88; Thomas, Karori, 88; Goldstone, Waimate, 88; White, Christchurch, 87; Feist, Opaki, 87; Small, Kaitangata, 87; McKenzie, Oamaru, 87; Bradley, Dunedin, 87; Mugridge, Palmerston North, 86; Lyall, Oreti, 86; Tonkin, Dunedin, 86; Drummond, Wanganui, 85; Halliday.
