MASTERTON RAM FAIR.
The catalogue advertised by the local auctioneering firms for the forthcoming Ram Fair, which will be held on Thursday and Friday next, includes rams from all the well-known breeders, and in view of the prices ruling at the Hawke's Bay and Wanganui sales, the sale at Masterton should elicit keen competition. The order of sale for the first day.will bfe Romneys, Southdowns, Border Leicester and Corriedales, and 6n the second day Lincolns, English Leicester, Shropshire Downs and Merinos. The largest class entry is Romneys, of which there are 1,134 rams, and in the Lincoln class 1,022 rams. In Southdowns there are 238, and 2SI Shropshire Downs, 173 English, and 77 Border Leicesters, 25 Corriedales, 10 Merinos, and 30 Lincoln Leicester Cross.
