BOWLING.
THE BOOTH CUP. Four rinks from the Greytown Bowling Club visited Masterton, yesterday, and played a match against the Masterton Club in the competition for the Booth Cup. Owing to the rain the greens were heavy, and this fact militated against good play to some extent. Masterton won three out of the four rinks. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs F. Dupre. The following are the results of the games played: — Thompson, Rose, Scott, Carpenter (skip), Masterton, 19, beat White, Bicknell, Wigg, Amos (skip), Greytown, 10. Wright, Mutrie, Prentice, W. Pragnell (skip), Masterton, 19, beat Loasby, Watt, Udy, Brunton (skip), Greytown, 11. Rigg, McPhee, McGuire,Nicholls (skip), Greytown, 31, beat Taylor, Daniell, Townsend, Richards (skip), Masterton, 12. Evernden, Braddock, Gordon, Yates (skip), Masterton, 24, beat Haigh, Trotman, Williams, Bockett (skip), Greytown, 11. Totals: Masterton, 74 points; Greytown, 63 points.
