LONDON'S UNEMPLOYED.
Received February 13, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, February 12. The Countess of Warwick, who is well known as a society leader and sympathiser with the working classes, contributed £ls to to-day's unemployed demonstration at Hyde Park on the occasion of the meeting of Parliament. She sent a remarkable letter to Jack Williams, in which she says:—"l returned my Peeress's ticket for the opening ceremony of Parliament when I heard of your march. How could I drive through the streets in satins and face the unemployed?" Received February 13, 10 p.m. LONDON, February 13.
Three thousand unemployed marched to Tower Hill and Hyde Park. The police prevented them approaching Parliament House.
