CHRISTCHURCH SUPREME COURT.

By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, February 12. At the criminal sittings, to-day> John Sage was acquitted on a charge of forging orders given by customers for advertising. Accused had stood his trial twice before, when the jury disagreed each time. William Thomas Felton was also acquitted on a charge of manslaughter by negligently driving a motorcar along Riccarton Road on December sth. The car came into collision with a heavy cart, and Geurge Tancred de Montalk, one of the passengers in the car, was killed. It was urged for the defence that the accused possessed all the skill that could be legally required of him, and he; had not been guilty of gross negligence.
