EGG-LAYING.
UTILITY CLUBS' COMPETITION. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Februray 11. The statement for the week ended February Bth shows that 1,173 eggs were laid by birds in the Utility Poultry Club's second Egg-laying Competition at Lincoln College, bringing the total to date to 48,571. The best results for the week were: —Alexandra Poultry Company's White Plymouth Rocks 31, J. Jackman's Silver Wyandotes 31, W. B. Cowlishaw's Buff Orpington's 30. The highest aggregate totals to date are:—-M. Blanch's Silver Wyandottes 921, M. Ashton's Silver Wyandottes 801, F. O'Brien's Silver Wyandottes 765.
