CHRISTCHURCH SUPREME COURT.

By Telegraph —Press Association. ) CHRISTCHRCH, February 11. At the Supreme court, to-day, T. H. Martin was sentenced to three years' imprisonment for indecent conduct. Henry Francis, a Christchurch solicitor, who had been remanded for sentence for the embezzlement of trust funds, submitted a lengthy written statement explanatory of the case and asking for leniency. He was sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment with hard labour. Maritana Emmanuel was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment for making a false declaration when registering the birth of a child. Christian Oberg was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for breaking and entering a warehouse at Davanchelle's Bay.
