LANGDALE STOCK SALE * REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report holding a stock sale at Langdale on Saturday last, when they submitted a fair yarding in sheep of all classes, and a few pens of cattle.. 'Buyers were 'slow to operate at the start, but matters improved as the sale proceeded, with the' result that at the close only one lot failed to change hands. Cattle were almost ■unsaleable. Best ewes made up to "14s, fat and forward ewes 12s to 13s, Medium class ewes 10s to lis lid, "2-tooth wethers 12s to 13s. No lambs •offered. The same firm report "having placed a station line of ewes privately during their trip. Large numbers of sheep are met Mvith on the xoad between Masterton and Whareama.
