A dispute arose as to whether the body should be placed in a crffin provided by some of the deceased chief's followers. His relatives objected. Evenutually it was agreed that the coffin- should be lowered into the grave first, and the ■ body placed on top of it. The coffin was eventually lowered and then smashed into matchwood.
