AUSTRALASIAN AMATEUR CARNIVAL. By Telegraphr-Press Association. y C HRISTCH URCH, February 9. The Australasian Amateur Swimming Carnival was concluded, today, at the Lancaster Park baths, when the weather was again fine. The following are the chief results: — 220 Yards Australasian Championship. —H. Baker, New South Wales, 1; A. D. Hill, New South Wales, 2; A. R. Harrowel, Queensland, 3; Time, 2min 38sec. 440 Yards Australasian Championship.—:P. W. Springfield, Queensland, 1; R. Healey, New, South Wales, 2; A. McMillan, New Zealand, 3. Time, smin 56 l-ssec. In the Water Polo match, Australia v. New Zealand, the former won by three goals to'nil.
