(From Our Own Correspondent.) TINUI, Friday. The annual school picnic was held ; yesterday, at Ngapopato, in a paddock kindly lent for the occasion by Mr R. L. Langdon. The weather was perfect, and a * large number of people were present and thoroughly enjoyed the outing. The Rev. J. H. Sykes, chairman of the Tinui School Committee, and Mr W. Dickens, •chairman of the Ngapopato School Committee, were ably assisted by Messrs D. H. Speedy, H. Mclsaacs, H. Sutton, J. Chapman, and J. A. Perry in getting the children's running events off, while Mesdames R. L. Langdon, J. H. Cameron, J. A. Perry, D. H. Speedy, W, Dickens, H. Sutton, and Misses Von Stermer, Perry (2), and Dickens, provided lunch and tea, which was greatly appreciated. The results of the events were as follow: — Girls' Race, under 8 years.—Nora Tucket 1, Maggie Johnston 2, Lizzie ) .Dickens 3.
