ST. PATRICK'S DAY SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
. A-meeting'Of the Executive Com<mittee of the St. Patrick's Day Sports Association was held on Saturday evening. There were present— Messrs H. O'Leary (chairman), A. Haughey, J.. C. McKitlop, E. G. Williams, M, Kerins, F. Haughey, -J. Burke, W. F. Day, F. O'Toole, J. 0 'Dowd, J. Cullen, J. Pickett, and J. Kealy. A letter-was received from the Wairarapa Caledonian Society offering to lend its sports material to the Association for sports day at a charge of £5. Excluding the tent the Society would charge £3 10s for the use of the material. It was decided to accept the offer for the material excluding the tent. An offer from the Masterton Municipal Brass Band to provide music on sports day for £5 was left in the hands of the Chairman and Secretary. The question of disposing of the privileges in connection with the Association's sports meeting on March 14th was referred to a committee consisting of the Chairman, and Mr B. J. Dolan. The matter of procuring flags, competitors' numbers and tapes, also appointing gatekeepers for sports day was left to the Chairman and Secretary. Messrs B. Johns, F. Boyle, J. , Devonport, C. Tootell, T. Maloney, ' Jacob Rzoska, John Rzoska, and Miss Barrat, were elected members of the Association. Messrs H Sinclair and J. Harman were appointed members of the Ground Committee. The following officials were appointed for the meeting on sports day:—Referee: Mr J. H. Pauling. Honorary pipers: Messrs B. Johns and J. Scott. Starter: Mr J. C. McKillop. Judges: Running and cycling, Messrs P. O'Leary, F. Haughey, •J. O'Leay, J. Pickett, and P. Garvey; .jumping, throwing the hammer and wrestling, Messrs W F. Day, J. O'Dowd, J. Burke, E. G. Williams, and T. Maloney; Irish jig, Messrs J. O'Dowd, E. G. Williams, and F. •O'Toole; Scotch dancing, Messrs A. Turner, J. Mcßae and J. McLean; quoits, Messrs E. E. Chamberlain, T. Wyeth and J. McHattie. Stewards: .Running and cycling, Messrs D. Robinson, G. Donovan, J. Kelliher, J. W. Cochrane, V. G. Darroch, H. Sinclair, J. C. Ewington and J. B. McKenzie; dancing, Mr A. Fraser. Number steward: Mr W. A. Hogg. Timekeepers: Messrs M. Kerins, J. Cress and F. Dupre. Handicappers: Running and cycling, Mr Ulic Shannon; quoits, Messrs J. H. Pauling and T. Wyeth. Blackboard Steward: Mr J. B. Emmett.
