RUSSIA.
DIRECTOR OF A PRISON ASSASSINATED. Received January 31, 9.27 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, Jan. 31. A workman assassinated M. Gudima, Director of the Dejabri prison, where most of the political prisoners are confined. The crime was committed while M. Gudima was walking in the principal street of the Vassli Island quarter cf St. Petersburg. The assassin escaped. M. Gudima is accused of maltreating revolutionaries.
