GLADSTONE.

1 (From Our Own Correspondent). GLADSTONE, Tuesday. Bushfelling&is almost completed in this part district. A large block of land % has been cleared this year, and, with a good dry summer, like the present, there is every indication of a good burn. The recent rains have done considerable damage to the growing potato crops, causing them to sprout again, and in many cases they have totbe removed at once or else they will be totally destroyed. The blight has been practically unknown this season, and there was every indication of a heavy crop. Master Colin Grant wan one of the successful candidates at the recent University examinations held in Masterton.
