COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palmerston sale, on Thursday, fair entries of stock came forward. Good inquiry existed for all classes of sheep, and recent prices were well maintained. The cattle entry consisted chiefly of small lines of young cattle and store cows and heifers. For any small lots of young steers a good demand existed, but other lines showed no improvement. Quotations: Fat shorn lambs 12s, forward shorn lambs 9s 6d, cull shorn lambs 5s 7d to 6s, woolly lambs 10s 7d to 10s Bd, cull woolly lambs 6s lOd to 7s lid, fat ewes 13s 6d, forward ewes lis 3d; 18-month steers £2 4s 6d, 15-month steers 365, 15-month heifers 22s 6d to 26s 6d, mixed yearlings 17s 6d to 21s, weaners 8s 6d, store cows 25s to 30s, bulls 25s to 30s.
