BROUGH-FLEMMING COMPANY.
The season of the Brough-Flemm-ing Company in Masterton, will commence to-night, when "Dr. Wake's Patient'' will be staged in the Town Hall. The Australasian says: "Dr Wake's Patient" is one of the few that improves on acquaintance. The dialogue is a model to aspiring playwrights, in being bright and clever. One of the most charming bits of acting is that of Miss Beatrice Day as Lady Gerania, who falls in love with a medical man, with nothing but a good heart and money earned by brains and industry ,to recommend him. Mr Carter Pickford is one of those rarities of the stage —a good juvenile lead. "Mr Gregan McMahon, Mr John Forde and Miss Emma Temple provide excellent humour. Mr Edgar Payne and Miss Bessie Major supply an excellent admixture of' co2nedy and pathos as the parents of Dr Wake, whilst Mrs Brough's Countess of St. Olbyn must stand-to her credit as one of the soundest pieces of work she ha£ yet accomplished." Tha box plan is open at Miss Rive's..
