WELLINGTON 'RACES. By Telegraph— Press Association. WELLINGTON, January 24. The weather was fine for the second day's racing. There was a moderate attendance. The sum of £17,202 was put through the totalisator to-day, including £1,553 put through the double machine, which paid £29 17s on the Summer and City Handicaps. Results:— Wallacevillc Hack Hurdles Handicap.—Outer^l, Lull 2, Wind 3. Also started —Paw a raid Aotea. Won easily by a length and a-half. Time, 2min 50 l-ssee. Dividend, £2 16s. Melrose Handicap.—Arc Light 1, Probable 2, Aeolus 3. Also started —Flotilla and Wirral. This was a bad start, Wirral being left at the post. Probable led into the straight, but at the distance Arc Light came and won by a length and a-quarter. Time, lmin 29sec. dividend, £8 2s. Kelbume ' Stakes.---Chatterer 1, Devonia 2, Sandix 3. All started. Won easily by a length. Time, lmin 29 2-ssec. Dividends, £3 Ss and £1 4s.' SUMMER HANDICAP. Sir Tristram 1 Fontenoy 2 Polyanthus 3 All started Fontenoy and Mystification ran in front to the turn, where Sir Tristram came through and won by half a length. Time, lmin 40 4-5 sec. Dividends, £6 10s and £3 6s. City Handicap.—Pink-'un 1, Replete 2, Golden Gate 3. Also started —Ballarat and Delamere. A good race Won by a length. Time, lmin 14 2-ssec. Dividend, £2 7s.
