THE LAND BILL.

Mr James Allen, M.H.R., de- ; livered an address in the Public Hall' to-night, under the auspices of the Milton branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, on the Land Bill. He criticised the provisions of the Bill, and dealt at length with the question of mortgages and mortgagees. Resolutions were adopted con-demnatory-of the Land Bill, and the proceedings concluded with a 1 motion of thanks to Mr Allen.
