THE RECENT WAITARA FIRE.
JURY'S VERDICT. By Telegraph—Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 2.1. : An inquiry was held, to-day, into the circumstances of the recent fire at Waitara by which a block of buildings was destroyed. The jury returned a verdict that they considered that the block had been deliberately set on fire by some person or persons unknown. They added a rider urging the necessity of having additional police supervision.
