RAILWAY DISASTER.
* THE ELLIOTT JUNCTION ACCIDENT. Received January 21, 8.17 a.m. LONDON, January 20. The Court of Enquiry censured Gourlay, the driver of the train which ran into a stationary train at Elliott Junction, in Scotland, causing the death of twenty persons. The Court considered that Gourlay had not followed definite precautions, and it also censured the'stationmaster for not using fog signals. (A cable message published the other day stated that Gourlay had been arrested on a charge of reckless driving).
