EXHIBITION BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

By Telegraph—Press Association,

CHRISTCHURCH, January 16. The Bowling was con-' tinued, to-day, in capital weather, the various greens being in excellent playing trim. The seventh (and last) round of the rink championship games was decided in the morning. A considerable number of ties for first, second and third places resulted. All of these were got off with due expedition, and several games between section winners were decided at the Canterbury green in the afternoon. The most sensational j of the these question the hardest fought game of the whole tournament was the contest, between Dunedin (McLaren) and North End, Invercargill (Hain). Both rinks contain players of wide experience, and the skips possess something more than a New Zealand reputation. Every step of the way was stubbornly contended, and the issue was in doubt when McLaren's last bowl was delivered. The shot decided the issue, and gave Dunedin a win by one point. The arrangements continue to give the utmost satisfaction. The following table shows the position of the different rinks after the seventh round, played to-day:— SECTION I. W. L.
