TINUI.
(From Our Own Correspondent). TINUI, Monday. • It is with deep regret that I have to report the death of the infant son of Mr and Mrs T. Crawford. The little fellow had been suffering from whooping cough for several weeks, and died at 10 o'clock on Saturday evening. Sincere sympathy is felt for the parents in their sad bereavement. Mr T. Picket, senr., one of the oldest settlers in the district, is seriously ill. Another old identity, Mr H. Newcombe, is also very ill. The long spell of dry weather broke up on Saturday with a severe thunder storm and heavy warm rain is still falling. The amount of good that has been done by the rain cannot be estimated.
