DISASTROUS TIDAL WAVE.
THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY PERSONS DROWNED. , Received January 13, 5.17 p.m. LONDON, January 12. A disastrous tidal wave, caused by a submarine disturbance, occurred at Tannah Island, off the coast of Sumatra. Three hundred persons were drowned. Forty others were drowned at Puis, Babi Island.
