The New Zealand International Chess Congress was resumed this morning with the 17th round, with the following results Edwards beat Parker, Crackanthorpe beat B. Mason, Gould beat Sexton, Viner beat Sainsbury, Cummings beat Pleasants, Davies beat Forsyth, Grierson v. Kelling adjourned/Kummer v. James draw, Gifford v. J. Mason draw. Eighteenth round. --- Crackanthorp beat Sainsbury, Stewart beat Gould, Barnes beat Forsyth, Kelling beat Edwards, Pleasants v. James, Kummer v. Davies, Grierson v. Viner, Giffoi'd v: Parker, and Sexton v. J. Mason, adjourned.
