By Telegraph—Press Association. NAPIER, January 8. A commission of enquiry was opened at Hastings, to-day, before Mr J. W. Poynton (Public Trustee) into certain allegations said to have been made that the signature of some natives to the deed of sale of a portion of the Waimarama Block to the Government had been obtained while the natives were under the influence of drink.
