WAIRARAPA AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB.
A meeting of the Committee of the Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club was held last evening. There were present:—Messrs F. E. Robertson (chairman), G. W. Sellar, W. jJJren, E. H. Dixon, J. Bradbury, A. E. Wilton and V. G. Darroch, Secretary. It was decided to write to. the Masterton Municipal Brass Band asking on what terms they would play at the sports on January 22nd. It was resolved that the sports on January 22nd should commence at 1 p.m. Several sub-committees were appointed to deal with the various matters connected with the sports on Anniversary Day. It was announced that several of the leading amateurs in Wellington had signified their Intention of competing at the sports, and* it was probable that H. Kerr, who put up such a splendid . walking performance on New Year's Day in Wellington would also be a competitor. The committee decided to hire drags to meet the visiting competitors on the day prior to the sports. In order to save inconvenience to the winning competitors at the sports, it was resolved to present the winners with the orders for their trophies on the ground on the day of the sports.
