For the second day of the Westland Racing Club's meeting there was splendid weather, and a good attendance. Results: —
, Goldsborough Handicap. Wairarapa 1/ Barbound 2, First View 3. Dividend, £1 12s. Telegraph Handicap. Numa 1, Jolly Roger 2, Blesbok 3. Dividends, ( £2 16s and £1 4s.
Summer Handicap Trot.—Merry 1, Mawhero 2, Quicksilver 3. Dividends, £4 14s and £2' 6s. Hurdle Handicap.—Moetoropuku 1, Lissa 2. Only starters. Dividend, £2 Bs.
HOKITIKA HANDICAP. Freeland .. .. .. 1 Abydos - .2 Moetoropuku .. .. 3 Also started —Royal Crown, Lissa, First View, Tsitsihar. Dividends, £2 10s and £1 Is.
