Received' January 3, 7.57 a.m. CALCUTTA, January 2. Habibullah Khan, Ameer of Afghanistan, has been welcomed on the Indian frontier en route to confer with Lord Kitchener Com-mander-in-Chief.
Received January 3, 9.47 p.m. CALCUTTA, January 3. The Ameer, with a bodyguard, consisting of sons of chiefs, and an escort of 1,110, has arrived at.Landikotal. King Edward cabled that the visit occasioned great gratification, indicating the friendly relations between Afghanistan and India.JJ
