WAIRARAPA RACING CLUB MEETING.

Fine weather again prevailed for the second day of the Wairarapa Racing Club's summer meeting, which was concluded yesterday. There was a good attendance of the public. The sum of £7,575 was put through the totalisator, an increase of £742 on the corresponding day last year. During the meeting the sum of £16,730 was invested on the machine, an increase of £5 on the last summer meeting. Mr E. A. Laery, the Secretary, assisted by an energetic body of Stewards, carried out the arrangements for the meeting in an excellent manner.
