TAXATION OF MINING COMPANIES.
LONDON, December 31
The Treasury has announced that it is unable to entertain proposals for fundamental alterations in the income tax law in order to meet the wishes of the Cape Assembly and the Legislative Council at Pretoria respecting the taxation of the profits of South African companies.
