EXCLUSION OF CHINESE.
RESENTED AT CANTON. AMERICAN GOODS TO BE BOYCOTTED. Received January 2, 7.35 a.m. PEKIN, January 1. Resenting the exclusion of Chinese from America, a large meeting held at Canton resolved to revive the boycott of American goods, and to dissuade Chinese labourers from proceeding tb Panama to assist in the construction of the canal. It was further decided to petition the Viceroy to ask the Government to negotiate with America for a modification of the exclusion laws, and it was also resolved to placard the resolutions throughout' China.
