The match between the Wellington and M O.C. teams ended in a draw, though early in Wellington's second innings the visitors did so well as to make a viotory for them probable. Before luaoh Page and Day word scored fast, putting on S5 iu an hour. The former made 61 without a chance, but Hayward gave two, and might also have been run out. Douglas was able to play with a man to run for him, and helped to put on 35 for the last wioket. The total was 259, which laft Wellington 253 to get. Play was inter rupted foe half-an-hour by a shocer and sawdus*: was required. Still J .he batting was timid and slow, and five wiokets were Down for 60. Tucker theD joined Mahony, who had been in from 15, and the pair gradually mastered the bowling. Tbey took the score to 148, at whiuh stage stumps were drawn. Tuouer was missed in the slips just before reaching 50, but Mafaony gave no chances, and played just the right surt of gome. The sum of £530 was taken at the gates for the match. Flaying for Grange (Dunedin) against Carisbrook in the Senior competition at Danedin, last Saturday, A. Downes went ill last and floored 118 rang in an hour. The Wairarapii Juniors defeated the flutt Valley Juniors, at Featherston, by 3 wickets. Scores:—Wairarapa, 52 ana 7 wickets for 74; Hutt Valley, 79 and 45. j
