DANNEVIRKE STOCK SALE,
Messrs Williams and r Kettle, Ltd., held their fortnightly gale onFriday, and report one of the most success* ful sales ever held in this district. There was a fteavy yarding of both slieep and cattle, and in both cases the stuff was of specially good quality. The MaDgatoro two tooths were no doubt the means of drawing a large number of buyers, but in addition to these there were several fine lines from Taboraite and Kaitoki Stations, and a very nice Jino of two tooth wethers from G. W. Prance, Matamau. In cattle r.here were some good lines of young stuff yarded, which, with the exception of one or two lines were sold under the hammer. They quote as follows: Iwo-tooth wetheis, Man gatoro, 14a 4d, others lis lOd to lil, 2 tooth ewes, Mangatoro, 'l2s 9d, 2 tooth ewes, Tahorair.i, lis 3'l, fat ewes, Kaituki, 15s, fat ewes, Tahoraiti, 15s, fat cows £5 10s, 3-year steers £3-15s to £4 ss, steers £2 Is »o £3 6?, 2-year steers £2 6h to £2 12s (sd, 15 months steers p'£2 to £2 7s 6d, yearling steers 355, 2 year heifers £2 10s, fat heifers £3 5s to £4 2?, 2 year hoifer* £2 53, j'earlii)g beifera 255..
