Gleocullocb beat ■Golden Cairn over (3 furlongs on tbe sand lmin Afteeo. le Aroba galloped 5 furlongs on tbe course proper in lmin ' 8 2'>sseo, and King Billy 6 furlongs on the tan in lmin 15 3-saeo., Clanobattan covered a mile and a quarter on the sand in 2min 12seo. Landlook got a break on Certainty and Leoy oator at the start over a 5 furlonga journey, Certainty finishing on terms with him; Leonator three lengths back; tbe distance was covered in lmin 6sei\ Lady Annie galloped 7 furlongs on tbe sand in lmin 25 4 sseo. Uenuku and Grenade, assisted by Kilderkin over the last part, ran a mile and 5 furlongs on the course proper in 3min 3 2-ssec. Uenuku easily holding ftis companions, put op a good performance. Parituta, Volume, Apologue, Ellerton, and Rustique finished in that order at tbe end of a mile and a half on tbe course proper in 2min 46880. ■ Faritntu made a good showing, also Volume, but Apologue was distinctly disappointing. Scotty and Minster Delaval galloped a mile and 3 furlongs on the tan in 2min 21sec, both going well within .themselves. Armistice, assisted by Fontenoy and Colleen saw the end of a mile and a-balf on the tan in 2miu 39sec. The Cup mare moved ecratohily. Delaoia easily held Wapuna at tbe end of a mile and a quarter on the ooarse proper in 2min 19 2-seeo. Delania was lame after tbe gallop and will not race for soma time. Gboorka was restricted to strong work on 1 tbe tan. Motiarty and Downfall finished together at the end of 6 furlongs on tbe sand in lmin 17 4-sseo, Downfall coming cn fast. Dan Leno ran 6 furlongs on the sand in lmin 19eeo. Douche did steady work on tbe tan. Zim- , merman and! Sir Tristram were out, but only cantered; Taro oot one oi bis hooks after landing yesterday, but the injury is not thought to he serious.

Those in which most interesl; will be manifested by Wairarapa sportsmen will be the Lower Valley, ftlanawatu and ■ Ashhnrst meetings, while the results of the Auckland fixture will algo be eagerly awaited. Unless rain falls before Wednesday the Martinborousli track will be .very hard, and horses that are more or less sore will consequently be somewhat handicapped on this aooount. The arrangements in connection with the meeting will be found very complete, and although the fields will no* be large the raoing should at be very interesting. The Ashhurst meeting, whioh is a deservedly popular fixtur6, will take place on Friday, and tta6 running at Awapuni will serve to Rive a line as to the probabilities at the firstnamed place. The Ashhurst Club is giving a large amount of money away in stakes, no race being of less value tfian 100 bovs, while th e Cup is worth 500 sovs. The Wairarapa horses engaged there are Pemrninao, Full Rate, Mahuta, Luoretius, and Riflemaid, and the best of them may score. Anticipations iir connection with this meeting will be published later.
