Prior to tbo prorogation of the House of Commons, Mr Winston Churchill, replying to Mr J. B, Lonsdale regarding the (application o£ the Australian States for admia sion to the Colonial Conference, declared that tha Government were unable to reconsider its decision, namely, that the Confer«nce must be constituted the same as that of! 1302. The Conference itself must deoide the question of the inclusion of tbe States. There was no likelihood of the Conference passing a resolution appertaining to the State Governments.
