MASTERTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
: MEETING OF MANAGERS. The monthly meeting of the Managers of the Masterton Technical School was held, last evening, there being present —Messrs E. Feist (chairman)i J. Coradine, J. B. Keith, and E. H; Waddington. The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £37 16s. A letter was received from the Borough Engineer asking the Managers to pay half the cost of the recent plumbing examination, viz., £4 9s 6d. The other half of the cost was forwarded by the Engineer. It was pointed out that the Education Department would subsidise,the amount received from the Borough Council £ for £. The Managers decided to accede to the request of the Engineer. With regard to the Borough Council's request that the Managers should take charge of the examinations in future, it was decided to defer consideration until a later meeting. It was decided to engage Mr S. E. Wright to canvass i for subscriptions in aid of the School'.
It was decided that the Chairman and Secretary should call another meeing prior to the annual meeting in February. J
